When I moved into my first real apartment off campus, my parents were a little worried. It wasn’t that they thought I couldn’t live on my own, but rather about my tendency to be forgetful and not have them there to remind me to turn off my lights, lock the door and turn off the stove – the list goes on and on. When they left, I noticed they left something on my bedroom nightstand – a Chipolo. I read that it was a Bluetooth item tracker, so I decided to download the app on my phone and linked the Chipolo to my keys, but then didn’t think much about it.
When midterms came around, I was extremely nervous for all my exams. I studied for hours on end to make sure I was fully prepared. The late night studying caused me to sleep in later than my alarm for my exam in the morning, so I frantically ran around trying to get ready and fit in some last minute studying simultaneously. Ready to run out the door, I noticed I didn’t have my keys. I looked all around my apartment for an hour and I couldn’t find them anywhere. I couldn’t be late for my test, but there was no way I could leave my apartment unlocked for over two hours.
Then I remembered I had the Chipolo. I opened the app, made my Chipolo ring and then my pocket started making a noise. Turns out my keys were in my pocket the whole time! thankfully I made it to my exam on time. Since then, my Chipolo has been a lifeline. I honestly don’t know what I would do without it.
